Welcome to the Great Torrington Chamber of Trade Website

The Torrington Town Traders are a group of local business-owners that have come together with the aim of improving the experience of shopping and being in business in Great Torrington. We have the support of Torrington Town Council and Torridge District Council and intend to build on this support to encourage more visitors to our fine town.

Torrington is an exceptional town in that virtually all the shops are independently owned, so virtually no national names. There's such a variety of shops that you can still purchase virtually all you'd need and more without leaving our town. We are also surrounded by The Commons, where you can stroll for hours and take in the wonderful surrounding scenery with its many miles of walks.

We'd like to encourage you to visit our town, so as well as giving you a small taster on our website, we're also committed to encourage visitors with other initiatives...

Our initiatives include... Regular community events, both monthly and annual, publicity, liasing with local authorities and organisations for the benefit of our whole business community, regular monthly members meetings and much more as we make progress to putting Great Torrington back on the 'business map'.
